INVISALIGN
What exactly is Invisalign?
Invisalign uses a complex series of clear aligner trays that are worn for no less than 22 hours each day. These trays are designed to apply pressure to the teeth, pushing them into place over the course of several months or years. Invisalign is ideal for crowded, misaligned, and crooked teeth, as well as malocclusion issues like open bites, overbites, and under bites. Invisalign is completely clear and invisible, so no one will know you’re wearing braces but you and our staff.
Why might you need Invisalign?
You may want or need Invisalign if you’re in need of orthodontic treatment. Older teens and adults can especially benefit from Invisalign because it can provide drastic results without being obvious to those around you. There are no metal brackets or wires involved. If you’ve ever been told that you would benefit from braces, Invisalign is a more comfortable option to help you achieve your smile goals.

If you've ever been told that you would benefit from braces, Invisalign can help you achieve your smile goals.
What makes you a candidate for Invisalign?
For patients with severe orthodontic problems, additional treatment and appliances may be needed. However, most patients who want Invisalign are able to be fitted for these clear aligner trays. You will need to come in for a consultation appointment so that we can determine if Invisalign is right for you. Invisalign is ideal for patients of all ages, but it is especially beneficial for older teens and adults who are able to commit to keeping up with their treatment.
What can you expect with Invisalign treatment?
You will first come into our office for a consultation. During the consultation, an exam and series of impressions will be made. This helps us create a personalized treatment plan designed to straighten and perfect your smile. Impressions are then sent off to a local lab where clear Invisalign trays are made for you. You will need to wear these aligners for 22 or more hours a day for treatment to be successful. You will need to come back into the office every few weeks to have a new set of Invisalign trays made for you. Treatment can take anywhere from six months to two years to complete depending on how crowded or misaligned your teeth happen to be.
If you’re interested in Invisalign for yourself or your child, our office staff is happy to answer your questions and get you in for a consultation appointment.
